Lowpoly 3d model of the Business jet Learjet 55. Learjets 50 series was introduced in 1977 with plans to produce three variants: Learjet 54, 55, and 56. However, only the Learjet 55 was built. The wing design of the Learjet 55 was tested on the Learjet 28 and specifically developed for the Learjet 55 with NASA. The Learjet 55 had an enclosed cabin for up to ten passengers and a cockpit for two crew members. Production began in 1981, with a total of 147 aircrafts delivered.
